Mind you, this is what I have in mind at the moment. However, I’ve been known to change my mind, so it could change. LOL

Interior Decorating Scheme No. 1
There are really some great color options in this palette. I will experiment with some other combinations as well. I want to transition from the studio into my bedroom, so I may be able to use more of the palette. I’m thinking of the main color of Castle Stone, the large center color, for the north, east and west walls, with the Nob Hill or Velvet Evening color on the art wall between the two large window. The west wall may be the upper green strip, Duck Pond (distorted color in circle), with the lower right strip, Serengeti Plain on the west wall of my bedroom.
I had a whimsical idea of painting my bedroom ceiling with Velvet Evening, then projecting the Milky Way on it. What a wonderful way to go to sleep.
Feel free to give your opinion. I will consider anything.

I have rubber tile in my kitchen and upstairs bathroom. I think rubber tile is easy to clean up.

Yes, and a good quality looks so realistic with a wood print on it. With housing being in a hole here, alot of tradespeople have left businesses or been laid off, so availability is difficult. If we go with vinyl plank, my husband can lay that an it would save alot of money. I may chose that so I can have enough money left for his workshop.

I don’t like texturing. My house has that mop-swirl pattern. Looks kinda goofy.
But then, anyone that is turned on by air compressors, shouldn’t be complaining about goofy-ness. Hahaha…..

The rest of the house is textured…came with the house. I don’t think you are goofy for not liking texture. I wonder what kind of interesting designs would appear by applying pressurized air to fresh paint? Hmmm!
My only concerns are that I get a paint type that is washable in the area of my drawing/painting table and the easel. I may get rambunctious with throwing paint or splattering.
That is a concern regarding the floor covering. I wanted vinyl sheet that looks like would, but I can’t find anyone who will install it. It is a labor intensive work. I may have to settle for vinyl planks. I just have to watch out for the joints.

I totally agree, anything you can to to make your bedroom a more restful place, you should do. Projecting the Milky Way on the ceiling, to aid in going to sleep, is a great idea. Getting good restful sleep is very important and healthy.
Is the colors in your living area blending or transitioning into your bedroom and studio color schemes? Just wondering, no big deal.

No, the whole house is in off white. However, my bedroom and studio will be mine to do as I wish. The transition of colors will be between those two only. My husband likes the white in the rest of the house. Another thing I have insisted on is that we have no texture in the paint for the walls. I don’t like it. I prefer smooth walls. My paint scheme for my rooms have gained approval with the Contractor (my husband).
I just thought of a problem with the dark bedroom ceiling and projection. The ceiling is that horrible popcorn texture. So, if I want the milky way, it may have to be on the studio ceiling.
